Baby Shower

My dear friends K and S threw a baby shower for me last week and we had a lot of fun! They worked so hard to make it a special time for me and did an amazing job. We had a beach-theme shower and I even got a beach-themed cake with products from America. Yummy!! Anyways, I received so many fun things and was so blessed by everyone. Thank you K and S for being so thoughtful and doing such a wonderful job. We are so grateful.

Water Park Fun!!

So, we went to a water park this past weekend and had a blast. It was Micah's first time in the big pool all summer. She was a little scared at first but she warmed up to it. She was afraid of the splashing water and floats more than anything. We managed to be some of the first ones at the park, before they even turned the water on, which turned out to be an advantage for us. The water was pretty cold but we didn't care. At the end of the day Micah was exhausted but she wasn't ready to go home. She kept saying "pool...pool...pool."

Micah was terrified of the slides, especially after water started coming out of them. Jason is laughing because Micah had her legs wrapped around his. She was so funny.

Crazy hair day

Jason and I celebrated 4 years of marriage last week and we spent two days at one of the nicest hotels in our city. It was a nice break from life and we even left our most precious angel, Micah, with Kristi. Thank you Kristi! This was the top of our hotel overlooking the mountain and some of the city. This was the first time I had been in a pool all summer and we both got sun burn.

We went out for a nice dinner! Jason got steak and I got pasta...yummy!!

Yesterday, Micah and I did some finger paint. In the past she has been afraid of the paint but this time she had a ball.

Because she got paint everywhere, she took a bath afterwards. I couldn't believe how dirty the water got.

Garden Fun and More!

I visit with my neighbors several times a week in the garden outside my house. We each bring food and enjoy one another's company while the kids play. I could only get a few pictures before my camera stopped working but don't worry, Jason got it working again!

This is a sweet picture of Micah in some new PJ's emptying her purse of goodies. She loves painting her nails and putting her lipstick on. She is a girly girl.

We got a chance to have a picnic at our teacher's garden house about 30 minutes from our house. We grilled out all kinds of meat and enjoyed the fresh air. Micah especially loved the hammock and playing with our teacher's son. We all had a lot of fun and we were thankful to get out of our city for the afternoon!

Happy Birthday Micah!!!

We celebrated Micah's 2nd birthday today and I can hardly believe it!! She has gotten so big so fast. We celebrated first with just the family! Micah got pancakes for breakfast and could hardly wait another minute to open her presents--matter of fact, I think that was her favorite part of the day. Thank you to all who sent gifts and cards; we are really grateful!! We had a neighborhood party with our friends in the local garden and Micah loved every second. She got lots of fun gifts and eat lots of sugar. She had a Hello Kitty theme party and I even attempted to make a hello kitty cake. The kids played with sidewalk calk and bubbles and Micah loved the attention. Anyways, we were so excited about celebrating 2 years of life with Micah. She is such a precious gift from the Father and we love every minute with her. Today was a special day and in the end Micah was exhausted. Hope y'all enjoy the pictures of her special day!!
