Happy Thanksgiving!

We celebrated Thanksgiving here at my house and had lots of fun and good food. Me, K, and S, split the cooking responsibility and it turned out pretty close to the real deal. We stuffed ourselves and then watched some football in order to make the day complete. Micah didn't eat much of our Thanksgiving feast and Luka slept most of the time but we all had a fun time. We love our American friends here and are so thankful for each of them. Thank you for such a wonderful start to the Holiday season.

Getting ready for Christmas!!!

So I know its a little early for Christmas but we decided to go ahead and decorate. All of our friends are very curious about this time of year and the way we celebrate it in America so we wanted to get a head start on the celebrations. This is our reasoning for putting up our decorations before Thanksgiving, otherwise I would protest. Micah loved every second of decorating the tree. She still likes to take the ornaments off and put them back on. The cutest thing was when she got her stool in order to reach the high places. She is adorable. Luka wasn't very active in decorating but he loves looking at the lights.

Luka is 1 month today!

Luka is 1 month old today and we can't believe how fast the time has past. He is lifting his head like a big boy, eating like a champ and only waking up once in the night to eat. He has been a great baby and Micah has been such a wonderful big sister. Even our neighbors have been surprised at how good she is with him. She loves kissing and holding him. Every time he cries she thinks it's her job to locate his passy and put it back in his mouth.
We spent 3 1/2 hours at the doctor today for Luka's checkup. They checked his ears, hip joints and then he got a shot. Overall, he is a healthy boy and growing like crazy. He now weighs 4.85 kilos and is 56cm long.
Jason and I are doing great and love being parents to two amazing kids. We started getting a little more sleep this week and are functioning a little better. Now we are looking forward to the holidays!

Luka is 2 weeks old!!

Luka is two weeks today!! He is the most precious little boy and he has been such a sweet blessing and addition to our family! He has a very calm personality and is sleeping well. Micah is the best big sister! Every time Luka starts to cry Micah runs frantically around the house looking for his passy, blanket, or even a toy. She says, "you okay Luka?" We are having so much fun and are so thankful for such a sweet little boy! Here are a few pictures from the past 2 weeks. Enjoy!
