Luka is 1 month today!

Luka is 1 month old today and we can't believe how fast the time has past. He is lifting his head like a big boy, eating like a champ and only waking up once in the night to eat. He has been a great baby and Micah has been such a wonderful big sister. Even our neighbors have been surprised at how good she is with him. She loves kissing and holding him. Every time he cries she thinks it's her job to locate his passy and put it back in his mouth.
We spent 3 1/2 hours at the doctor today for Luka's checkup. They checked his ears, hip joints and then he got a shot. Overall, he is a healthy boy and growing like crazy. He now weighs 4.85 kilos and is 56cm long.
Jason and I are doing great and love being parents to two amazing kids. We started getting a little more sleep this week and are functioning a little better. Now we are looking forward to the holidays!

Fun Fall pictures!

Luka is 2 weeks old!!

Luka is two weeks today!! He is the most precious little boy and he has been such a sweet blessing and addition to our family! He has a very calm personality and is sleeping well. Micah is the best big sister! Every time Luka starts to cry Micah runs frantically around the house looking for his passy, blanket, or even a toy. She says, "you okay Luka?" We are having so much fun and are so thankful for such a sweet little boy! Here are a few pictures from the past 2 weeks. Enjoy!

So, rather than talking a lot about the experience of having a baby in a foreign country, we just thought that we'd let the pictures speak for themselves. But, for those of you who want the details, here they are in a nutshell:

Labor: 12 pm - 3 pm
Weight: 9.1 lbs (or 4 kilo, 140 grams - for those of you who use the metric scale)
Length: 21.5 inches (53 cm)

Fort Day

It has been a rainy Sunday here and so after nap time Micah and Daddy decided to make a fort!! Micah loved crawling in and out but mostly she loved crashing it and saying, "again, again." I think Jason remade the tent 5 times at least. It wasn't big but it was sure entertaining; I think Jason had just as much fun playing as Micah did.

Bubbles and more

We had some friends over for dinner the other night for a special dinner and I cooked all day. Micah was such a big helper but we stopped in the middle to make some bubbles. She loves bubbles but she is even more fascinated with the gun that blows bubbles. Here are some pictures of our fun from the balcony.

So the other day when we were making dinner, Micah decided to set the table on her own. She did this totally unprompted and it was adorable. She gave us each a tomato and put the Tea on the table.
